Oleksandra Kolomiets, born in Kyiv in 2018, lives in Brussels City, has Ukrainian roots and is a primary school pupil. She is seven years old at the time of this interview. She fled to Belgium with her mother; her father and grandparents are still in Ukraine. She loves the animals in the Museum of Natural Sciences. She takes the underground to school. She celebrates her birthday and Easter and misses the snow in Ukraine.

Paul Hubsch was born in Leuven in 2013, lives in Anderlecht, has German roots and is a secondary school pupil. He speaks four languages: Dutch, French, English and German. Every day, he takes the metro from Anderlecht to his school in Etterbeek. He loves Astrid Park and the centre of Brussels. He plays rugby and goes to the Chiro youth club. He would like to have a house with a garden and start school later.

Jose Huedo, born in Castellon in 1980, lives in Anderlecht, has Spanish roots and works as a video editor.

He loves Maurice Van Meenenplein and the market there, activities with the Spanish community and the heritage of the various waves of migration from Spain to Brussels. For him, Brussels is a city full of surprises and cultural offerings, but also one with increasing violence and rising property prices.

His questions about the future concern Europe, politics and war.

Marie-Hélène Leroy, born in 1969 in Brussels, lives in Ganshoren, has Belgian and Greek roots and works as a teacher for the Centre Hellénique & Interculturel de Bruxelles. She lived in Greece between the ages of 18 and 43 but returned due to the economic crisis.

Loves the Parvis de Saint-Gilles, her neighbourhood Ma Campagne, the green boroughs of Brussels, the parks. For her, Brussels is a cosmopolitan city, the heart of Europe and a safe city.

Her questions to the future are about the mentality, safety and cleanliness of Brussels.

Soukaïna Rezgui, born in 1992, lives in Anderlecht, has Moroccan, French and Algerian roots and works as a marketing manager.

For her, Brussels is a whole range of places, the opportunity for constant discovery, multiculturalism and space for spontaneity. She loves culture, cafés and restaurants, jogging along the canal and la Promenade verte, but regrets the waste problem, the crowds and the lack of human contact and loss of community spirit.
