Piet De Koster, born in Brussels in 1953, lives in Ganshoren and is a retired theatre technician. He has a particularly strong connection with Ganshoren, rather than with Brussels as a whole. Since his retirement, he has come to appreciate Brussels more: the museums, the green spaces, the cultural offerings, the Brussels dialect, the greater accessibility for cyclists and public transport, but he regrets the decline of Dutch in services. His questions for the future concern the governability and Dutch-speaking character of Brussels and coexistence in the city.
