Linda Embonga, born in 1978 in Kinshasa, lives in Schaerbeek, has Congolese roots and works as a coordinator at Infor Jeunes. She came to Brussels because she married a Belgian man. The beginning was difficult because even though she studied in Congo, she had to retake her degree. Brussels is easy for her because of French, it is multicultural, but she has also experienced institutional racism. It is a city of contrasts: hope and disappointment, distance and closeness, confrontation and connection. Her questions to the future are about living together in real diversity.
