Oualid Haouas, born in Brussels in 2006, lives in Molenbeek where he grew up in the Maritime Quarter, has Moroccan roots and is a first-year university student. For him, Brussels is waste and at the same time humour, diversity, a well-established community life, including for young people. He has fond memories of Océade. Rarely goes to the south of Brussels because there’s nothing to do there. Likes going to the Gare Maritime and Tour & Taxis. He did see a lot of greenery disappear there. His questions for the future are about Brussels as a part of Belgium, its vibrancy, youthfulness and multiculturalism.
