Carlos Guitierrez, born in Madrid in 1954, lives in Uccle, has Spanish roots and is retired. He came to Brussels when he was 9 years old. He still feels Spanish after more than 60 years. He talks at length about his family and childhood in Spain and his arrival in Brussels: first Saint-Gilles and then Schaerbeek, school life and frustrations because of the language and forced study choices, then work at Sabca. Loves football. Was very active in the Cefa-UO - le Centre espagnol de formation et d'action-Université ouvrière - for Spanish workers and also immersed in theatre training with ISCO - Institut Supérieur de Culture Ouvrière.
