Ana Rita Pereira Marques, born in Lisbon in 1995, lives in Schaerbeek, has Portuguese roots and works as a policy officer. Came to Brussels as an intern in 2021, after studying in Denmark. Loves walking to work and the fact that you can really do anything in Brussels.

She thinks the best thing about Brussels is the people and the park life. The hardest part is the cleanliness, the rubbish and the rats. She also worries about the transience of work and friends if you can't stay.

Brussels for her is the diversity of people, including in international work teams and the culinary diversity: she sometimes goes to a Portuguese and Brazilian supermarket. Her questions for the future are about green in the city, the waste system and political shifts in Europe.
