Marie Van Innis, born in 1983 in Bruges and moved to Brussels as a child, lived in several municipalities and now in Jette. She works as a project manager. For her, Brussels is the multiplicity of opinions and diversity. She sees polarisation increasing in Brussels too, but at the same time a lot of connection. In her teenage years in Schaarbeek, she recalls the repression of police commissioner Johan Van Mol and how they took in a Kosovar family with the family. She talks about multilingualism, cafés, street safety, growing up in Brussels and about specific places. Her questions to the future are about generations, social inequality and Brussels municipalities.
