Marie Van Innis, born in 1983 in Bruges and moved to Brussels as a child, lived in several municipalities and now in Jette. She works as a project manager. For her, Brussels is the multiplicity of opinions and diversity. She sees polarisation increasing in Brussels too, but at the same time a lot of connection. In her teenage years in Schaarbeek, she recalls the repression of police commissioner Johan Van Mol and how they took in a Kosovar family with the family.
