Cabanillas Nieto was born in 1968, lives in Forest, has Spanish and Belgian roots and works as a project manager for a developer. He grew up in the Spanish community of Sint Gillis of the 1970s and 1980s with its street life and many Spanish cafes and shops. He remembers the evolution the Forest National neighbourhood in terms of major constructions and that of St Gillis in terms of population. For him, his neighbourhood has lost civility and the village feel. His questions to the future are about the mix that Brussels is and should remain, architecture and heritage and the faces of the different neighbourhoods.
