Jeanine Meulemans, born in 1943 in Aalst, but from the age of three, just after World War II, she lived in Molenbeek. From an early age, during Expo 58, she went to work to help her sister. Then she worked at a bakery from 1961, in a restaurant, she helped with childcare, and her father who was a butcher. All these activities nicely describe what life was like at that time in Molenbeek and the rest of Brussels. She is very proud of being from Molenbeek and has little with Brussels. She talks about living together, multilingualism, position of French and Dutch, about diversity, den Daring, the Abattoir and many other stories.
